Emotionally Healthy Spiritually

It isn’t often that I will spend three weeks encouraging you to buy a book and read it, but THIS one is worth it.

Every once in a while we come across a “MUST READ ” book.

For the last three weeks we have talked about the must read:
Emotionally Healthy Spiritually by Pete Scazzero.

Have you reached the point of your Christian life where nothing is working?

Does God feel absent and unresponsive?

In fact, if you think about it, does he feel like the worst part of one of your parents?

A disappointment?

Are you feeling disenchanted, unmotivated and  unenthusiastic about God and Christianity?

Have you tried all the things that use to work?

Praying more, reading your bible more, serving more, memorizing scripture, and nothing helps?

Have you questioned your motives about everything because you feel God must be punishing you for some reason you cannot quite figure out?

Well then, Pete Scazzero’s book, Emotionally Healthy Spiritually will help you discover what’s REALLY going on!!

It’s a normal predictive part of every Christian’s life sooner or later.

I remember hitting this place in my life years ago (and another time more recently) and talking to a Pastor about my confusion.

He finally admitted he was in the same place and confused as I was.

I asked, “Why don’t you preach about this?  Other people must be in the same spot?”

He replied, “I couldn’t preach about THIS; If I did NO one would want to be a Christian.”

How sad.

He was basically saying let’s not talk about the hard, confusing part of being a Christian.

If you are here you are experiencing a normal, even predictable part of growing as a Christian.  It helps to know what God is trying to accomplish during this season.

As Pete discusses the five stages of growth it will be interesting for you to pin point where you are in your life with Christ.

I hope you are encouraged to read this book.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality: Unleash the Power of Authentic Life in Christ

The Christian faith is supposed to produce deep, positive change. So why doesn’t it seem to work in “real life”?

That question screamed at Pastor Peter Scazzero when his church and marriage hit bottom and every Christian remedy produced nothing but anger and fatigue.

As he began digging under the “good Christian” veneer, he uncovered entire emotional layers of his life that God had not yet touched.

Discovering that his emotional immaturity had fed his spiritual immaturity, Scazzero experienced a spiritual revolution by biblically integrating emotional health and contemplative spirituality.

In Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Scazzero unveils what’s wrong with our conventional means of “spiritual growth” and offers seven biblical, reality-tested, transformational steps that will help you live out your faith with authenticity, awareness, and a hunger for God.

Many of you have asked “Milan and Kay, when are you going to be giving a seminar in MY AREA???

While we would love to have the opportunity to meet each and every one of you and for you to learn some valuable relationship skills at our seminars….it is physically IMPOSSIBLE for us to give seminars in every city in the U.S. – (not to mention the rest of the universe).

So…for those people who would be interested in seeing exactly what happens at one of our seminars, and learn the skills that you need to improve your valuable relationships…we are working on the next best thing to being there in person with us.

Thats right!!! We will be coming out with a video of one of our recent seminars!!

Look for details on how you can attend one of our “How We Love” seminars from the comfort of your own home in the upcoming newsletters.
